Dust Boxes
seven light boxes, domestic dust, seven letter press prints on fabric, two letter press print banners

Dust is a kind of interface – scientific yet mundane. Within the domestic, it becomes a proto-archive, a record of what occurred.
Dust Boxes (first part of Bringing a Poem to a Gunfight, solo show, 2021) offers domestic dust, text, textile, and armour as objects that may hold data revealing how we view labour, matter and identities entangled within domestic as well as public spaces.
The seven custom-made light boxes contain within them seven brief poems that appear to expand upon the narrative, while also further abstracting it.
